Dma NEWS: Key UK Immigration Updates Unveiled

As we step into April 2024, a wave of pivotal changes is transforming the landscape of migration routes in the United Kingdom. These updates are set to impact various categories, reshaping the journey for families, skilled workers, and those engaged in care services.

1. Family Migration Route:


Minimum Salary change: £29,000 (Effective from 11 April 2024)

Anticipated Increase: Expected increase to £38,700 in early 2025, with a possible rise around October 2024.


2. Skilled Workers:


New Minimum Income Requirement: £38,700 (Annual Salary)

Implementation Date: Mark your calendars for 04 April 2024, as this threshold becomes the new standard.


3. Care Workers:


Crucial Change: Beginning 11 March 2024, care workers will no longer have the option to bring dependents to the UK under new applications.


4. Shortage Occupation List:


The Shortage Occupation List will be replaced by the Immigration Salary List (from 04 April 2024). The 20% going rate discount for shortage occupations will be removed and not apply for applications submitted on and after this date.
